Where Preschoolers Learn
At ExcellED Schools, we believe that no school is bigger than childhood and no teacher is greater than curiosity. Our goal is to provide your children with a carefully prepared safe learning environment that encourages curiosity, and creativity, and helps develop independent learners. An environment that is not only physically safe but also provides a safe environment to explore new ideas. ExcellED Montessori is not a daycare but a high-quality preschool that offers programs based on the Montessori curriculum.
Personalized Learning: All children do not learn the same way and at the same pace. At ExcellED Schools, our goal is to leverage research-based instructional strategies to personalize learning for each student based on their learning styles, needs, and pace. Students play an essential role in their learning, and our goal is to provide them with age-appropriate developmental tools and a safe environment.
Several of you will be selecting a preschool for your children for the upcoming school year. A Montessori-based preschool prepares your child for kindergarten and helps them become independent learners and thinkers.
“The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six. For that is the time when man’s intelligence itself, his greatest implement, is being formed.” – Maria Montessori
So what exactly is required to be life ready? Montessori and Life Readiness
I had a father recently share a story with me about his 3-year-old daughter. After attending our school for only a few short months, the family had a dinner party at home with some friends. After dinner, the little girl picked up her plate, carried it to the kitchen, and placed it in the dishwasher…No one had said a word to her!… She was just 3 years old…Needless to say, the dinner guests had watched in disbelief…They turned and looked at the dad, and he threw his hands up in the air and said, “It’s not me! It’s the school!”
Children have an internal drive to be independent. We give them the tools and the right environment to do what they naturally want to do…even the dishes!
This fall we will have programs for both in-person and online classes to keep your children learning and growing.
Remember 90% of the brain develops before the age of 5. Give your child the best learning opportunities.
Developing fine motor skills and movement control is important for preschoolers. Montessori practical life activities like using tongs to move pompoms from one bowl to another, crushing eggshells, pouring water, and matching games allow children to develop fine motor skills required for writing.
